Artist's Rendering of Nueces Bay Energy Center

The new Nuece Bay Energy Center will replace the existing natural gas and oil-fired single-cycle unit at the Corpus Christi, Texas power site with a highly-efficient combined-cycle facility.  

The facility will be rated at 538 MW base load and 677 MW peak capacity.  Nueces is expected to begin commercial operations in 2010.
